Everyone can join in our sponsored read during the month of April, in support of orphans in Moldovoa, at Happy Links.
Based in Thoiry, PLP provides a space for English-speaking families to meet, play and learn together.
Our members become part of a community and take part in English-speaking playgroups and literacy classes, as well as regular groups for expecting and new parents and special events.
The Bumps to Babies group provides a welcoming space for expectant and new parents to meet up to share their experiences and advice.
Our Bounce & Rhyme playgroups are a place where children - and their parents or carers - can socialize in English. Children enjoy free play, songs, stories and art and craft, whilst parents have the chance to chat and make friends.
Our weekly classes give children who are fluent in English, but attend a French-speaking school, the chance to learn to read and write in English.
PLP is a place where you can meet likeminded English-speaking families and feel part of a community.
"I am British and my husband is French, so we each speak to the children in our own language at home. My son goes to Swiss public school. I wanted to immerse both children in an English-speaking environment and make sure that they are as confident reading and writing in English as they will be in French. Both of them love going to PLP. The activities are fun. Maxime knows all the letter sounds and can read short books in English. The playgroup is a chance for Antoine to be exposed to the nursery rhymes and songs I know from my own childhood and is also a welcome opportunity for me to meet other, like-minded parents.”
